Intro to Auto

Intro to Auto is a three-hour program designed for Year 10, 11 and 12 students who are new to the road. The session covers key skills around the purchase and upkeep of a vehicle.

Our interactive workshop includes practical demonstrations, such as how to:

  • change a tyre
  • check basic fluid levels and other vehicle maintenance tips
  • jump start a vehicle
  • reset tyre pressure
  • spot damage to vehicles
  • identify odometer tampering.

Students will also learn about basic vehicle technology, ask any tricky automotive questions and have the opportunity to experience vehicle painting through virtual reality.

This program can be conducted either at your school or at the MTA Automotive Skills & Careers Centre at Royal Park, with all PPE provided at both. Female-only sessions are also available.
