School-Based Apprenticeships

A School-Based Apprenticeship is a part-time apprenticeship that allows you to start your vocational training, earn a wage and get hands-on experience while finishing school.

You can commence in Years 11 or 12, and can count it towards your SACE.

What does an MTA Australian School-Based Apprenticeship involve?

An MTA School-Based Apprenticeship is a combination of:

  • paid employment with a business/host employer in the automotive industry
  • vocational training at a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
  • core SACE secondary subjects at school.
