All training services offered by VTECH are transitioning to the MTA’s Automotive Training and Employment services

Public news

The Motor Trade Association of South Australia and VTECH Automotive Training were pleased to announce last week that all training services offered by VTECH would transition to the MTA’s Automotive Training and Employment services.

This expansion of MTA Automotive Training and Employment Services will increase the number of apprentices we have in training to over 800, further strengthens the MTA’s position as a leading automotive Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in South Australia.

As the automotive industry’s peak body and the largest dedicated automotive training and employment services provider, we know it is vital that we increase the number of qualified technicians to support MTA members’ businesses and deliver their training needs.

The addition of courses in Agricultural Mechanical Technology, Mobile Plant Technology, Automotive Sales and Heavy Commercial Trailer Technology, as well as expansion to four sites in Davoren Park, Bordertown, Cleve and Strathalbyn, greatly increases the capacity of the MTA’s Automotive Training and Employment Services in order to provide quality training and employment services across metropolitan and regional South Australia.

VTECH CEO Warren Meissner said the opportunity to plan for a smooth business succession with South Australia’s largest automotive Group Training Organisation and Registered Training Organisation had obvious benefits.

“With a chronic and severe automotive skills shortage throughout South Australia, the opportunity to secure the long term future of regional automotive training by incorporating VTECH into the Motor Trade Association offers exciting prospects for employers and young people in the automotive trades.”

In addition to the training already offered by the MTA, listed below, there are a number of training qualifications being added which we will be able to provide.
