It’s that time of the year again when MTA trained apprentices shine at the Adelaide 500.
We have finalised the list of those taking part in the Motorsport Repair Team which will be on show from Thursday this week. Thank you to everyone who registered their interest.
This year, apprentices from a range of automotive trades will be demonstrating their skills in repairing damaged vehicles, while a select few will get the opportunity of a lifetime working in V8 Supercar Pit Crews including Brad Jones Racing, Wilkinshaw Andretti United and Matt Stone Racing.
Once again, the MTA Repair Tent will have on display the mobile paint booth supplied by Lowbake and we thank them for their ongoing support at these events. The MTA will be painting a Drift Car in the booth and running automotive refinishing demonstrations for the public and high school students.
The MTA will also be demonstrating opportunities supporting our Schools Pathways Program through mechanical, body repair and painting demonstrations and tours of the MTA Repair Tent.
If you are at the Superloop Adelaide 500, drop by the tent and watch the next generation of Automotive Technicians in South Australia at work!
We have also been running a competition for apprentices, with four double passes up for grabs thanks to our Business Partner, MTAA Super.
Congratulations to the apprentice winners:
- Lochlan Appleton
- Rowan Atkinson
- Josh Lowe
- Nathan Robinson
Congratulations to our MTA Member winner:
- Anthony Norris
