MTA Apprentices taking part in a refinishing job for the Birdwood Motor Museum

MTA Automotive Refinishing apprentices Jacob Loughead, Kynen Duke and Automotive Body Repair apprentice Jason Bennett have been working on a refinishing job for the Birdwood National Motor Museum.

The three apprentices have been painting and working on the body repair of a 1970s Ford Cortina for the last few weeks in a joint project undertaken with TAFE-SA.

Trainer in Automotive Refinishing Technology Matt MacDonald said the project represented a good opportunity to work with the Birdwood National Motor Museum saying, “we took over the refinishing work from TAFE and upon completion will hand back to them for completion of the interior. It’s quite an honour working on a project that will go on display at the National Motor Museum for all to see.”
