National Transport Commission (NTC) study on driver fatigue

Public news

The National Transport Commission (NTC) is currently encouraging heavy vehicle drivers and transport companies to take part in research in regards to heavy vehicle driver fatigue. Specifically, the NTC is looking for drivers who undertake local or long distance driving (minimum of 30 hours per week) and heavy vehicle operators of all sizes, including owner-operators.

The NTC is working in collaboration with the Cooperative Research Centre for Alertness, Safety and Productivity (Alertness CRC) to evaluate driver fatigue and a new video released by the NTC explains how the research project is exploring real-world and laboratory phases of the study.
