The MTA has welcomed a new retail division specialist to the fold, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge at both OEMs and dealerships, all with an eager attitude to help shape our industry for the better.
Jeremy Scott was previously working with Hyundai in Central Region (SA/NT) and is replacing Andrew Girolamo, who has taken an opportunity with Isuzu, in which the MTA wish him all the best.
“I did a short stint with Cox Automotive earlier this year before this role came up, but it was an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up,” said Jeremy.
“After working in OEM’s for many years, I felt it was time to give something back to the auto industry and the businesses that I had been working closely with over that time.
“However, being a Retail Specialist gives me a much wider view of the industry and hopefully gives me the opportunity to use the experience I have accumulated to add value to a much broader section of the industry.”
Jeremy has always had an interest in the automotive industry, building a solid foundation of knowledge of his 30 year tenure.
“I have worked in dealerships from the junior on the sales floor right through to General Manager for more manufacturers than I care to remember!” said Jeremy.
Going forward, Jeremy will be looking after retail divisions, made up of the:
- Automotive Dealers Association (ADA)
- Commercial Vehicle Industry Association (CVIA)
- Farm and Industrial Machinery Dealers Association (FIMDA)
- Licensed Vehicle Dealers (LVD)
- Motorcycle Industry Association (MIA)
- Service Station (SSD)
- Tyre Dealers (TYRE)
