The MTA hosted an Information Session for the Body Repair Specialists Division last week in relation to the Economic and Finance Committee’s Inquiry into the Motor Vehicle Insurance and Repair Industry in South Australia.
This session provided an overview for members on how they can contribute to the Inquiry, provided examples of information that could be presented and provided an opportunity for members to receive answers to frequently asked questions.
The Inquiry marks significant progress in resolving issues faced between collision repairers and insurance companies, with its ultimate aim to shine a light on practices within the industry and hopefully lead to improvements in the relationship between collision repairers and insurance companies.
It is important that collision repairers stand up and provide examples to the inquiry in relation to how insurer conduct has had a negative impact on their business and their customers.
To assist members in making a submission, we have put together an Information Pack which includes details on the Terms of Reference for the inquiry and importantly, how you can make a submission and what to do if you are asked to provide evidence in person at a Committee Hearing.
Click here to contact our Industry Engagement Specialist, Pau Back, if you would like the Information Pack.
Submissions are due by Friday 6th of September 2019 but we highly recommend that you get yours in before then. The MTA is here to assist you and we do encourage you to contact us if you need assistance.
