The Shannons Adelaide Rally is returning for 2021 and will feature hundreds of exotic cars being put through their paces across four days.
With a longer course covering 230 competitive kilometres, exciting new stages and the return of some old favourites not run for more than a decade, participants will experience some of the best driving roads SA has to offer.
The festive atmosphere returns too with street parties, lunch stops and dedicated spectator zones.
The East End Finale will be the best way for most people to engage with the rally and is free to enter, including all the kids’ activities.
Ray Khabbaz of Finishline Autobody Repairs is a passionate supporter of the event and can’t wait to hear the Adelaide Hills roar into life later this month.
“We sponsored the rally last time it ran and are one of the major sponsors this year,” explained Ray.
“Although the investment isn’t small, if people have a want to get involved you do get a lot of exposure from it.”
With the Clipsal 500 and Formula 1 now distant memories, there’s not a great deal of racing on the calendar for die-hard motorsport fans, which is just another reason why we as a State should be making the most of this top-class event taking place on our doorstep.
“I like motorsport and this is my third year driving in it – the first year I really enjoyed, so I sought out how to sponsor because it helps put Adelaide on the map and has been hailed as one of the best rally events in the world,” said Ray.
“I like being on track and have completed driving courses to feel comfortable that I’m not putting anyone at risk while taking a bend – there’s not a lot of room for error up in the Hills!”
