The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) are inviting MTA members to participate in a survey as to how the ACCC carries out its work.
The survey addresses six key performance indicators set out in the Australian Government’s framework for assessing the performance of all major Commonwealth regulators. These KPI’s cover a broad range of good regulatory practices and processes, including how the ACCC is engaging with stakeholders.
These regulatory practices and processes are important for achieving outcomes that contribute to the purpose and objectives of the regulatory framework. They are also important to help minimise the impact of regulations on businesses that are required to comply with the law.
The survey has been created by the ACCC in an effort to maintain and promote competition, protect the interests and safety of consumers, and support fair trading in markets affecting consumers and small businesses.
The ACCC’s actions currently affect many MTA member businesses with the ongoing Takata Airbags Recall, quadbike protection issues and the recent New Car Retailing Report. This survey is a good way of letting the ACCC know how their actions affect you and your business and importantly, how they engage with your business.Click here to access the survey.
